Nikesh Desai
Co-Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Nikesh is a founder and Co-CEO of InvestingChannel. As Co-CEO, he leads the company’s overall strategic direction.

Nikesh and Bob started the consultancy Giant Step Strategies which served as the initial underpinning of InvestingChannel. They successfully helped major financial media companies with their ad strategies which created the demand and impetus for InvestingChannel. He has been the key figure in building the largest exclusive consortium of financial destinations at InvestingChannel.

Prior to building Giant Step Strategies and InvestingChannel, Nikesh served as the Vice President of Business Development at TheStreet.com where he implemented strategic initiatives and new technologies, including partnerships, contextual advertising, co-registration, customer acquisition/lead generation and many other programs to increase revenue, drive traffic and enhance site performance. He was one of the original members of PeoplePC’s business development team and was instrumental during its IPO process and sale to EarthLink. Nikesh focused on product development, sales, strategic partnerships and acquisition activities. He started his career as an investment banker with Robertson Stephens involved in public offerings and mergers & acquisitions aggregating over $1 billion with Internet and software companies.

Nikesh aspires to be a traveling food critic while trying to hit every major soccer stadium across the world.

Kwang Suk (David) Kim
Co-Chief Executive Officer & President

David is the Co-CEO and President of InvestingChannel. He is responsible for the Company’s overall business operations and oversees the product, technology, sales and marketing functions. David led the organizational transformation that has enabled InvestingChannel to scale and set it on its current growth trajectory.

Before joining InvestingChannel, he was Vice President of Product at TheMarkets.com, a leading institutional research platform, until the company was acquired by Capital IQ. Prior to that David was a senior member of the team that launched Eons.com, a Sequoia Capital and Charles River Ventures backed social networking and media company. Before joining Eons.com, he served as the General Manager of Lycos Finance, overseeing all global product development, strategy, marketing, and sales initiatives, and leading the sale of Lycos Finance assets to Interactive Data Corporation. David began his career with equity research positions in both the United States and Asia.

A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, David is an avid fan and supporter of the Golden Bears.

Bob Verrico
Executive Chairman & Co-Founder

Bob is a founder and Executive Chairman of InvestingChannel. As Executive Chairman, he is strategically involved in all aspects of the business.

He and Nikesh originally started online consulting firm Giant Step Strategies (GSS) which eventually became InvestingChannel. They successfully helped major financial media companies develop and grow their digital revenue initiatives by developing forward thinking media strategies, unique partnerships and industry best practices. InvestingChannel grew from the relationships, opportunities and industry evolution that Bob and Nikesh identified while building GSS.

Prior to founding GSS and InvestingChannel, Bob led TheStreet.com’s four revenue divisions including advertising sales, product sales/marketing, business development and product development driving 200% revenue growth in less than 3 years. Prior to TheStreet, he joined the founding team at Beliefnet and built and managed the company’s ad revenue business. In the late 90’s, Bob headed up iVillage’s revenue initiatives including the advertising and business development team of 80 employees responsible for growing revenue to over $75 million in annualized sales.

When not traveling the country with the sales team or settled in the NYC office, Bob enjoys down time with his wife and canine companions at their mountain retreat in Vermont

Jay Desai
Chief Financial Officer & Co-Founder

Jay is a founder and CFO of InvestingChannel. As CFO, he spearheads business strategy and oversees the corporate development and finance functions.

Before InvestingChannel, as a consultant with Giant Step Strategies (GSS), Jay helped Internet entrepreneurs write business plans, forge strategic partnerships, improve business strategy, raise capital and negotiate mergers and acquisitions. Prior to GSS, he was a partner at Hambrecht & Quist, a technology-focused investment bank later acquired by JP Morgan Chase. At H&Q, Jay helped found and grow the company’s Internet industry group and mergers & acquisitions practice and specifically focused on the online advertising space in his last few years. From raising capital through private placements and public offerings to providing strategic and mergers & acquisitions advice, he has helped shape the web from a financial and advisory role. Working on transactions ranging from $10 million to over $2 billion, Jay worked with such clients as Netscape, Quote.com, Adforce, UUnet, Infospace, Netcentives. Prior to his seven years with H&Q, he worked in the technology and biotechnology industries for the merger and acquisition specialist, Wasserstein Perella.

A true weekend warrior that loves the outdoors, Jay participates in virtually every sport imaginable and has the battle scars to prove it.
